Dorothy W. Haggeman

HAGGEMAN, DOROTHY (nee Mulder) – Born in Holland, daughter of Gerardus and Gezina Mulder, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, held by the loving hands of her family and close friends at Chatham –Kent Health Alliance. She was in her 90th year. Mom/Oma/ Dorothy loved unconditionally, got joy from selflessly giving and helping others, leaving a lasting legacy on all those who met her. She lived her faith deeply always leading by example.  She was the family’s peacemaker, always quick- witted with a radiant smile and the life of every party.  Her presence will always be felt. 

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband (John, 1998) Survived by her children:  daughter, Henri (Tony Parkes)London; John,Paincourt (good friend Rebecca Spaulding); Lucy, Chatham, Ben (Jan ) Calgary; Rudy (Slavica) Windsor. Very close friend Mary Margaret Pakulis (Chatham);  Loving Oma  to  Lauren and Steven Parkes (London), Mary, Sarah, Jessica Haggeman (Calgary): special  Nana to Andrew Pakulis,  and special friend  to Audrey and Thomas Piscione (Toronto). She will also be missed by Bobbi. Survived by: sister Jean(Rudy)Fleer Hamilton; Truus (Herman)Vulkers;  Marie Endeman; Jan and Hein Mulder  all of Holland. She is also predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters all from Holland: Marinus, Bernard, Trees, Herman, Ge, Willem, Riek, Mies, Annie, Dinny. 

Resting at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S., Chatham from 7-9 pm on Sunday January 15th and again on Monday January 16th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Ursula’s Church on Tuesday January 17, 2012 at 10 am. Parish prayers Monday at 3:30 pm.

Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Palliative care unit at CKHA – Chatham.
