Obituary of Charles Tomek

With family by his side at Meadow Park Long Term Care Facility, on Saturday, November 29, 2014, Charles Joseph Tomek, a resident of Chatham, at the age of 83. Son of Karl Tomek and Frances Kuryvial. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Vermeire) Tomek (2013).
Loving father of, Charlotte and husband Paul Konecny of Chatham Township, David and wife Judy Tomek of Blenheim, Brian Tomek of Vancouver, B.C. Lovingly remembered by his Grandchildren, Grandsons Kevin (Evelyn) Konecny, Matthew (Jessica) Konecny. Grandaughters Ashley (Aaron) Armstrong and Laura Leigh Tomek (fiancé Ryan Wilson). Three Great Grandaughters Grace and Claire Konecny and Olivia Armstrong. His Sister Anna Stone, Sister-in-law Alice Pinsonneault and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by twin Daughter Charlene. Brothers Frank and John. Sister in law Robertine Lauwers, Brothers-in-law Joe Lauwers, Harold Stone and Victor Pinsonneault.
Charles enjoyed farming and was retired from Siemens Automotive after 30 plus years. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations to the Kidney Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
