Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday September 28, 2016, Thomas Edward Peseski age 76, beloved husband of Nancy Elaine (Ayres) Peseski. Born in Windsor in 1940 to Frank and Lillian (Trypka) Peseski. Tom was owner and operator of the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, Chatham from 1986-2009. He started his apprenticeship in 1958 with the Darte Funeral Home in St. Catharine’s. He then graduated from the Canadian School of Embalming in 1960; and moved back to Guelph to work for the MacIntyre Funeral Home. Tom and Nancy then packed up in 1964 and headed for Chatham to work at the Hinnegan Funeral Home. He was member of many organizations over the years, past president of the St. Joseph’s Men’s Club, member of the Kinsmen Club. Tom was always active with the Scouts as a young boy and as an adult, attending many Jamboree’s over the years. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph’s Council #10436 and the Father James Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Loving father of Ron and Rose and their Children Erik, Matthew, Zachary and Bailey, Taffy DeVogelaere and husband Al “Bing” and their children Devon, Deryck and Megan and Dan and Lisa and their children Nathan and Claire. Dear brother of Caroline McPhee, Ken (Ruth) Peseski and Frank (Marilyn) Peseski. Even though Dad was retired for a few years now, all of us were asked many times, “How’s your Dad” from the many friends he and Mom made over the years, and for that we are eternally grateful to have known such a Man. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday September 30, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm. Knights of Columbus prayers Friday at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Chatham. Cremation will follow and Entombment of ashes will take place at a later date in the Columbarium in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations to the O.S.P.C.A., Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
