Obituary of Patricia Bodendistel

(formerly Sister Mary Justin) entered eternal life on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Villa Angela in Chatham, Ontario. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1954. During her religious life she served as a Teacher in Windsor, Essex, Dublin, and Toronto and served as Dean of Residence at Brescia University College, London. She was a pastoral worker and did spiritual direction in Windsor. She also served on the Diocesan Evangelization Commission. She came to live at Villa Angela, Chatham in 2011. She was born in 1934 in Guelph, Ontario, the daughter of Justin and Mary (Courtney) Bodendistel. She is survived by a sister, Helen Kefalas and brother Paul & Margaret Bodendistel all of Guelph and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Bodendistel and Christa Bodendistel. She is predeceased by brothers, Gerald (Jerry) and Ken. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sister Patricia may be made to “Chatham Ursuline Charities” or to the charity of your choice.
