Obituary of Roman Koziolek
It’s with deep sadness and grief we announce the peaceful passing of Roman Koziolek on October 12, 2017 in his 86th year. A beautiful and kind man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He was born in Zawada, Poland in 1931, son of the late Tomasz and Marianna Koziolek. He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Leonarda Koziolek who passed away in 2011. Predeceased by his sister Mieczyslawa Wrobel in Poland.
He is predeceased by his son, Henryk Koziolek who passed away in 2016. Loving father-in-law to Suzanne Koziolek. He is survived by his daughter Eugenia Teresa Wolanski and her husband Tad of Chatham. Beloved uncle of Joseph Kaminski and wife Kathy with many remaining relatives in Poland. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth(Wolanski) Power and her husband Peter, Peter Wolanski, Monica(Wolanski) Charlton and her husband Adam, Andrew Wolanski, Karoline (Koziolek) Martin and her husband Matthew, Emil Koziolek and his friend Deb Diamond. Greg Kaminski and his wife Eva, Anna Cavanagh and her husband Brendan, and Adam Kaminski. Great grandfather to Sarah and Laura Power, Audrey Charlton, Owen and Aiden Martin, Sebastian and Adrian Kaminski, Natalie and Jacob Cavanagh. Predeceased by great grandson Atticus Charlton.
He has been retired from Five Star Tool and Die and remained an active member of Our Lady of Victory Parish and the Polish Canadian Club of Chatham.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 8:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 12:30 PM in Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
