Larry was a great man. As custodian he always kept Our Lady of Help spotless and was very supportive, hard working and I will always remember how his face would light up and his smile would bring you joy.
Thanks Larry for your years of service for the school community.

I remember the time we went up to Kincardine to fish one winter. John KleinHaar, Larry and myself went out to the Bruce Nucear Plant and decided to push the aluminum boat over the ice to get to open water. Well the ice gave way and Larry went down to the bottom of the water.
John and I had actually gotten into the boat safely, but Larry did not.
I was able to reach out and grab his hand as he came back up. He told me later that it was like finding the "Hand of God" grabbing him and pulling him up.
Thankfully John and I were able to get Larry into the boat and we were able to make it back to his old Dodge van to get him stripped out of his snowmobile suit to warm him up.
We never took chances like that ever again. But damn we missed getting any Salmon that weekend.

Larry, Pauline and family, Andy and I will never forget how hard you all worked to help us build and close in our house in Glencoe back in the '80s.
You all gave of so much of your time and expertise. Some nights we worked into late hours where the kids would lay on the floor on huge pieces of cardboard. It was so cold, some of those nights!
Lots of special memories in so many situations.
We will miss you, big guy!
