Obituary of Vittorio Todino

Please share a memory of Vittorio to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound grief and sorrow that we announce the passing of Vittorio Giovanni Antonio Todino in his 92nd year, on December 29, 2024 peacefully surrounded by his family. . Loving and devoted husband to Gerarda Todino (nee Matteis) of 67 years.

First born son of Giuseppe Todino & Maria Grazia Moccia of Tremauriello, AV, Italy. Dad was born on June 10, 1932. Predeceased by his parents, daughter Anita Carpanzano and brother, Raffaele Todino.

An adoring Father to Maria Graziano (Paul), Fiorella Perciballi (John) Anita Carpanzano (Tony) and Victoria Rosselli (Joseph). Grandfather to Marcella(Josh) Elisa (Zach) Daniela, John Michael (Bridgette) , Alessandra (Trevor), Claudia (Christopher) and Adriana. Great grandfather to Milan, Roman, Anita, Aria, Lorenzo, Elio and Emilia. Also survived by a brother, many many loving brothers in law & sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

As many immigrants, Dad & Mom forged a new path in Canada in 1960 and nurtured a wonderful life full of joy, happiness and much hardship. They were an unbeatable team.

We will miss his many stories and tales of interesting people, places and the many life lessons he experienced in his journey. A carpenter by trade, Dad could fix anything, build anything and he passed that knowledge down to us. He & Mom loved their gardens, spending time outdoors and road trips discovering new destinations. Always curious of what awaited them just around the next bend in the road. He made friends easily and left all he met slightly better than when he found them. His life was one of patience, sacrifice, and an unwavering presence in our lives, serving as our role model and protector. Offering encouragement and support anytime of day or night. He took great joy and pride in his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Loving us all passionately.

Dad - your sharp wit, determination, boldness, tenacity, and zest for life will sustain us. That sparkle in your beautiful blue eyes, your contagious smile, the sound of your laughter and your sense of humor will carry us through. You are our superhero. Your legacy will live on in each of us. You were a giant in our lives and you were pure magic to us all.

Our family would like to thank all of dad’s amazing caregivers at Bayshore Home Health, his wonderful nurses and care team at CKHA.
