My condolences to Pearl and family.
It was always obvious that Jim's intelligence was exceptional. His devotion to spirituality was equally apparent. When I visited his office at the KCRCSS Board, there was always a bible open on a credenza and he'd been reading it regularly since it was at a different place each time.
I remember Jim's concern during Jamie's days with the Chatham Maroons. He'd have the game on radio and wonder whether the ongoing altercation involved Jamie--- or had been instigated by him!

My deepest condolensces to Pearl and the family. When I was a young teacher struggling to get fulltime employment, Jim showed me great respect and compassion and played an important role in helping me obtain full time employment. I have never forgot, and always appreciated his genuine support. He was a man of great integrity who left a lasting legacy and will be greatly missed.

As Superintendent of Curriculum, effective programming for students from K-12 was a priority. He was thoughtful in addressing the needs of the system and engaged the curriculum team for input and execution of a plan. Working with Jim was a learning experience always challenging how to best improve student success.
My thanks to Jim for his leadership.
Rest in Peace Jim

Dear Pearl and all the Clarke family
We are so so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. He was certainly a dedicated, caring, and hard working administrator in education for our School Board. Lino enjoyed his time working with and for him. It was interesting to read about his career, prior, and his outreach and contributions to many causes. Unfortunately we are not in the area to be able to attend the services. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and sending hugs your way. Lino and Becky Martincich

Dear Pearl and Family. I am at a loss for words. I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. Working with him for 15 years was truly the highlight of my career. He was a man of deep faith and true commitment to his calling. Jim was like a dog with a bone when he thought something could improve conditions for students. He would not give up until found a way to get it done.
Jim wasn't just my boss, or a colleague. he was a friend. My prayers are with you as we grieve his loss.

I remember Jim as a good friend & neighbour in Thunder Bay. Also enjoyed the friendship with Pearl and their children in their early years. At the time of getting to know Jim I worked with the Thunder Bay Big Brothers Association & convinced Jim to bring his humanity & skills to their Board of Directors. He helped make a difference in the lives of young boys living in single parent families.
Condolences to Pearl, her children and extended family.

Dear Pearl and family. I was so very sad to hear of Jim’s passing. We met at CKHA continuing care and then again when Jim and my mother in law were moved to RVG. Your dedication to keeping Jim active by walking the halls and outside daily was a tribute to your deep love and devotion to him. I’m wishing for you a life of beautiful memories that you made together. Take care.
