Obituary of Priscilla Marie Ecker
Peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, on Thursday February 27, 2025, Priscilla “Penny” Marie Ecker, age 84. Beloved wife of almost 58 years to James (Jim) Ecker. Born in Hamilton in 1940, daughter of the late Loretto (Aussem) and Emile Sebin. Loving mother to her son James (Alyson) Ecker and her cherished granddaughter Rachael of Markham. Predeceased by her adoring daughter Mary-Catherine Ecker (June 2024).
Penny dedicated her life to her family, creating a warm and loving home filled with kindness, laughter and unwavering support. She found joy in the simple moments – preparing home-cooked meals, sharing stories, and ensuring that everyone she loved always felt cared for. Her presence was the heart of every family gathering, and her love was a guiding light. She was a voracious reader and lover of crossword puzzles. An introvert by nature, she was never one for the spotlight, but she found joy when she joined the church choir, proud to give back with her voice with quiet strength, faith and devotion.
A special thank you to all the staff at Fairview Seniors Community LTC Home in Cambridge for their loving care, attention and support.
