Obituary of Donald Broadbent

Donald Harold Broadbent passed peacefully March 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Don was born at home, on the family farm, in Merlin Ontario March 7, 1939. Son of the late Harold and Greta Broadbent. Loving husband of the late Barbara Broadbent.

Survived by his 3 sons Donnie (Cherryl), Mike (Carolyn) and Russ (Sue). He will be missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Step-children Al Drury (Wendy), Rod Prior, Deb Seabourne, Roxanne LaPointe and sister-in-law Anne Ecker.

Don is predeceased by his sisters Florence Buchanan and Donna (George) Buchanan.

He leaves behind his loving companion Sweet Pea.
Don was a butcher by trade and worked many years for Pharazyn Deadstock. He enjoyed sharing coffee and conversation with his many good neighbours and friends.

As per Don's wishes , there will be no funeral service.
