Obituary of Angela Svehla

Peacefully at Copper Terrace Long Term Care on Saturday May 31, 2025, Angela Agnes Svehla, age 101.  Born in Tvarozna Lhota, Moravia, Czechoslovakia in 1923, daughter of the late Marie (Bacik) and John Bartosek.  Beloved wife of the late Peter Svehla. 

Loving mother of Patsy (Rolland) Sterling, David (Silva) Svehla and the late Janet Huffman.  Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Rosaire), Jeff (Melanie), David (Ailish), Andrew (Rachel), Scott (Beckey), Shawn (Tina), Brian (Jen), many great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Also sadly missed by her son-in-law Jerry Huffman, sister-in-law Rosemary Bartosek and many nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by all of her siblings and great great grandson Cody. 

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Chatham Retirement Resort and Copper Terrace for all of their compassion and care. 

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home Ltd., 156 William St. S. Chatham from 9:30-10:45 AM on Thursday June 5, 2025.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in Our Lady of Victory Church.

Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
