Obituary of Stella Goudreau

Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Thursday July 3, 2025, Stella Esther Goudreau, age 95.  Born in Chatham in 1930, daughter of the late Sara (Files) and Edward Coveny.  Beloved wife of the late Vincent Goudreau (2017). 

Loving mother of Anita St. Pierre (Greg Faflak) and Barry Goudreau.  Cherished grandmother of Daniel.  Dear sister of Marlene Judson (late Ron) and Betty Lou (Len) Debruin.  Stella will also be missed by her sister-in-law Mae (Leo) Marchand and many nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her sister Shirley (late Frank) Vink, her brother Maurice Coveny, 2 infant brothers and her in-laws Yvonne (Ralph) Sterling, Bob (Madeline), Harry, Norman (Rosemarie), Gerard and Romeo Goudreau. 

Stella was a member of the CWL and the Chatham YMCA for 27 years.   The family wishes to thank the staff and residents at Grand Retirement Resort. 

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home Ltd., 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday July 8, 2025.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 9 at 11 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church.  Cremation will follow.
