I lived with Katie in University and have nothing but the loveliest memories of those years. I've been thinking about her so much and can hear her laugh when I do. It's a sweet sweet sound and that's how she will live on in my memory. That and always snuggling a kitten or a cat. Sending my deepest condolences to all those who loved Katie and are missing her most now. Hoping that good memories and stories bring light and levity amidst such a tragedy.

I will always feel deeply honoured to have known Katie over the past two years. I’m truly blessed that our paths crossed through teaching together at St. Anne’s. She was endlessly thoughtful and genuinely caring toward both staff and students. She was such a joy to be around - she truly was an Earth Angel.
My very first memory of Katie was when we met at the front doors of St. Anne School, both nervously laughing as the school alarm blared, unsure of what to do. My final memory is just as vivid: hugging her, then waving goodbye, as she smiled and walked out the doors into summer, while wishing me a happy retirement. Every single memory in between is of Katie smiling. I will carry those memories in my heart forever.
Sending prayers and heartfelt hugs to all of her family and friends.

Dear Cheryl, Ed, Cassie and Erik,
Words can seldom express the depth of shock, sorrow and emotions at a time like this. The loss of a child and beloved sister is indescribably painful. Katrina (Katie) was a delightful soul, so sweet and kind, so thoughtful, and we remember her as that lovely child and young adult with the shy, sometimes sly, smile, almost like she knew something you didn't!
We enjoyed time with Katie at the skating rink, watching her develop into a beautiful skater. It was so much fun when she and our Braden partnered each other in pairs, winding up at Provincials together, placing 4th, and meeting Josée Chouinard!
Of course there were so many other wonderful memories and it is those that we all must focus during this period of grief and healing.
For that is how Katie would want to be remembered.
Love and hugs to all.

We are so sorry to hear this news and extend our deepest sympathies. Mme Fryscok will always hold a special place in my son's heart. He loved having her as his grade 1 teacher and talked so highly of her to his brother hoping he would have her this year too, She seemed to always have a smile on her face and welcoming presence in the school. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time

Ed, Cheryl, Cassie and family. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of Katie. She was a wonderful teacher, had a kind heart and never gave up on any student, no matter what. We were blessed to have her at St. Anne school and I loved having her as a staff member. She has left a mark on my heart and I want you to know how valued she was. I am so very sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers and thoughts throughout this difficult time, and into the future. Katie will not be forgotten, she lives on in all the lives - students and colleagues - whom she touched.

To the entire Fryscok family,
My deepest sympathy on Katie’s passing. I had the privilege and pleasure to coach her on the senior girls basketball team while she attended John Uyen Elementary School. I recall Katie as a very enthusiastic and personable student athlete. She was always upbeat and a great contributor to our championship season. My prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time. May she rest in peace.

It was a true blessing to teach alongside such a kind and compassionate teacher at St. Anne in Blenheim. Her warm smile, gentle presence, and her never ending care for her students and staff members touched us all deeply. She leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit and the love she gave so freely will live on in our memories. My heart goes out to all of her family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in knowing how deeply she was loved and respected by all who knew her. God bless her and keep her always. She will be truly missed.
