Obituary of Yvonne Marie King

“A life devoted to family, education, and kindness—Yvonne’s memory lives on in every heart she touched.”

Peacefully, with loved ones by her side, Yvonne Marie King (Caron) of Pain Court passed away at Tilbury Manor on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the age of 77. Yvonne was born in Chatham in 1948 to the late Gloria (Demers) and Fredrick Caron.

Yvonne was the devoted wife of Norbert King, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage, and the deeply loved mother of Gabriel King (Leigh-Ann) and Aimée Claveau (Adam).

She was a cherished mémère to Chanelle, Jacob, AJ, Jordan, Isla, and Noëlle, and a dear sister to Bern Caron (Annette), Norman Caron (Yvette), Rose Hay (Steve), Art Caron (Laura), and Janice Faubert (Norb). She will be fondly remembered by her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A graduate of the University of Ottawa and the University of Windsor, Yvonne dedicated 35 years to nurturing young minds as a passionate French educator, teaching in Windsor, Grande Pointe, Pain Court and Chatham. Her legacy lives on in the countless students whose lives she touched.

Visitation will take place at Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S., Chatham, on Monday, July 28th, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be arranged at a later date.

In remembrance of Yvonne, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
