Obituary of Roy Burke

At Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Saturday August 16, 2025. Roy Alexander Burke, age 78 of Chatham.

Born in Windsor in 1947 son of the late Rita (King) and Donald Burke. Beloved husband of Sharon (McKnight) Burke for 58 years.

Loving father of Jo-Ellen (Chris) Couture, Scott (Victoria) Burke and Shannon Burke. Sadly missed by fur baby "Buddy". Cherished grandfather "Pa" to Raina & Laney Burke, Burke Couture, Arthur & Alexander Burke. Dear brother to Diane (Fred) DeMeyer, Joyce (Gordon) Wood, Barry (Shirley) Burke. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Jane Currah (late Doug), Terry Brown (late Brenda), Alana Houle (late Pat), the late Wendy Edwards. Several nieces & nephews and families.

Roy was co-owner of Lil' Papas Rentals in Chatham for many years until he retired due to an illness. President of Branch 28 Legion Chatham.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday August 21, 2025.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be conducted in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
