Dear Carlos, Paul, Cristina and Family.
So sad to hear that Alcide has passed away. We extend our most sincere condolences. Alcide and I worked together at CKSS when I was Principal there for many years. She was such a pleasure to work with, so efficient, skilled and professional in her role. Her expertise allowed her to train many staff over the years. She came to work every day with a smile on her face and a great sense of humour. She will be missed.

Rest in Peace, Alcide. When I was a student at CKSS over 20 years ago, Mrs. Teixeira was the attendance secretary who always greeted us with kindness and patience. I still remember how her smile could instantly put you at ease, even if you were late walking into the office. Years later, when I returned as a staff member, it was such a full-circle moment to work alongside her. She was the same warm, dependable, and caring presence for both students and colleagues.

My dearest friend Alc,
You made working at CKSS so fun. The laughter was contagious in the front office.
We were more than colleagues.......we were all family. Many years spent celebrating holidays together, and the joy of our families.
I will miss you my dear friend. I know you are with Mom and forever watching over your family.
Rest easy. I love you.

I first met Alcide when she was expecting Christina and I filled in for her as Attendance Secretary at Chatham Kent Secondary School. At least I thought that was when we first met. When she returned to CKSS after Christina's birth and we were having lunch one day, we talked about where we had lived in Chatham. As it turned out we lived across the street from each other and my youngest sister, Marleen, was her favourite babysitter! What a small world. She was a very proud daughter, mother and wife and to me, a valuable friend. Our time at CKSS was highlighted when one of the Vice-Principals nicknamed us "Thunder" and "Lightning". My sincere condolences to Carlos and the entire family.
