Obituary of Dienne Marie Howard

Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on August 21, 2025, Dienne Marie Howard passed away in her 80th year. Born in Chatham daughter of the late Evone and James McKinley. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Howard (2002). Loving mother of Gordon (Mark).

Cherished grandmother of Michael (Marcy) and GiGi to their son Colton.

Dear sister of Shirley Baker. Predeceased by her sister Marleen and brother Edmond.

Before her marriage, Dienne was employed as a Registered Nursing Assistant at the former Public General Hospital. This caring trait followed her all her life and she was happiest when caring for others - whether it was extended family or neighbours.

Dienne and her husband Doug had an extensive archival history and many photographs of the City of Chatham and surrounding area. This collection was willingly shared with many local historians who were doing research and writing articles on Chatham.

Special thanks to the many caring and compassionate doctors and nurses at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, especially staff in ICU. Also, her neice Laurel Howard who visited often and helped Dienne in so many ways during COVID.

As were Dienne's wishes, there was no funeral home visitation or service.

A private graveside service and burial was held in St. Anthony's Cemetary.
