Obituary of Helen Ancocik

It is with much sadness we share the passing of Helen Mary Ancocik, who died peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 96. 

Born in Chatham in 1929, Helen was the daughter of the late Mary and Paul Nemecek.  Beloved wife of the late John Ancocik (2015) for 65 years.  She will be greatly missed by her son  J. David Ancocik, his wife Debbie and their son John Ancocik, daughters Nancy Ancocik and Marilee St. Pierre and her husband  Dan and their children Brian (Amanda) St. Pierre and Jennifer (Pat) Crawley.  

Great grandmother of Haylee Crawley, Zachary and Cooper St. Pierre and Amelia Ancocik.  She is predeceased by a sister Beatrice Rakus.  Will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews. 

Helen enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and travelling to various places around the world with her husband.  She worked for many years at Ostranders Jewellers in downtown Chatham, and cherised the many friendships formed over the years.  

As were Helen’s wishes, a private visitation and service was held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Cremation followed.
