We will miss you Aunt Juile! You always brought a smile to our face and a warming feeling to our hearts. When we moved back to Chatham we enjoyed our visits with you and Uncle George after church even though it delayed our trip to Tim Horton's afterwards :-). We are keeping you in our prayers and are praying for your entire family that the Holy Spirit will provide strength and peace during this difficult time. Farewell Aunt Julie. Our condolences to my cousins Steve, Janet, David and their families. As a kid our visits to Chatam always included nice visits to Uncle George and Aunt Julie’s farm. Back then, I can remember it being unique that Aunt Julie didn’t have a European accent, unlike all my other aunts and uncles. Aunt Julie took the bold step of marrying into a large immigrant family, and she became part of the fabric of that extended family, that helped be a model for the next generation. She was always a friendly aunt and classy and kind woman. We won’t be able to join the family for the funeral, but we will be thinking of you all and remembering Aunt Julie. With our sympathy from Texas, Leon & Bobbi Aarts and family.

I have good memories of Julie. I was one of Julie’s nursing instructors for her three years. And we often met at our annual nursing reunion. As well, I was administrator of Thamesview Lodge during George’s time on council, and we would visit T various council functions. Julie was a happy , caring and gentle nurse. She made a great contribution to the Chatham Kent community. Her nursing home residents would have loved her.

My Aunt Julie will be fondly remembered for her cooking skills and her sense of humour. As a child I would spend some time at her home and always enjoyed her scalloped potatoes. When my sisters and I were picking cucumbers she would give us pop, a huge treat and a treat that we would rarely if ever get at home. She was always a pleasure be with.
