Obituary of Mary Frances Kehoe
Mary Frances Kehoe (née Ouelette) passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on December 17, 2025, age 86.
Mary Frances was the beloved wife for 65 years of Lawrence Kehoe, predeceased in 2018. She was born in Chatham, Ontario, and raised in Dover Centre by the late Alice (née O’Rourke) and Hilary Ouelette.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children Paul (Marjorie), Thomas (late Maryellen) and Catharine Koekuyt (John). Proud and loving grandmother of Amber-Rose (Pauly), Holly (Hayden), Caitlin, Michael (Rachel) and Kristen. Special great-grandmother to Hayes and Kolter.
She was the dear sister of Elizabeth (late Jerome) and Tony (Shirley). She was predeceased by her sisters Rosemary (late Patrick), Jeanne (late Jack), Winnifred (late Peter), Amelia and Julia (late George). Mary Frances leaves behind numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary Frances was known for her quick wit, sense of humour, and always having a treat on hand. She worked at National Grocers before starting the family and Mary-Lou’s catering later. She was a life-long CWL member and dedicated volunteer for serving funeral lunches and assisting with masses at Meadow Park Nursing Home. Her greatest love was her family. She was delighted to welcome, meet and cuddle great-grandsons Hayes and Kolter earlier this year.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William Street S. in Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday December 21, 2025 from 2-4 Pm and 6-8 Pm.
