Obituary of Ermelinda Torres

Peacefully at Copper Terrace Long Term Care, Chatham, on Saturday February 7, 2026, Ermelinda  Torres, age 98.  Born in Portugal in 1927, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Cabral. 

Beloved wife of the late Manuel Torres (1968).  Loving mother of  Manuel (Adriana) DaSilva and their children Teresa DaSilva, Ruben DaSilva and Brenda (Dwayne) Blonde. Cherished great Vavo to Josh, Jessica and Sabrina.  

Also sadly missed by a sister Marta Cabral. She is predeceased by 2 sisters; Teresa Melo and Maria DaSilva.  

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home Ltd., 156 William St. S. Chatham from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday February 9, 2026.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church.

Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
