Obituary of Mary Ann Want

Mary Ann (Hamilton) Want passed away peacefully on Friday February 20, 2026, at Chatham Kent Hospice. She was in her 79th year. Born and raised in London, Ontario, daughter of the late Edna (Hammond) and James Hamilton.

Cherished wife of Darcy James Want, who enticed her to move to Chatham, Ontario to spend 58 happily married years. Loving mother to David of Sudbury, Jeremy (Christine) of Ottawa, Trilby (Edward) Wagner of San Diego and Darcy II (Sumin) of Toronto.

Mary is loved by her many grandchildren Caelyn, Avery, Cameron, Darcy III, and Eden.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham on Monday February 23, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

Burial will be at Craford Cemetery on Tuesday February 24, 2026 at 1PM.
