In Loving Memory of David Wayne Rulens

August 8, 1966 –  June 15, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Wayne Rulens, who left us in 2026 at the age of 59, so close to his 60th birthday.

David was a man who embraced life on his own terms. He loved a cold beer, the companionship of his beloved dog, and spending time with people who appreciated him for exactly who he was. Whether he was watching football, following soccer, or finding a new way to stay busy, David lived life with energy and determination.

He leaves behind his cherished and only daughter, Llarissa, and her husband, Sean. He was a proud grandfather to his three beloved grandchildren, Logan, Kayson, and Bentley, who brought him immense joy.

David is also survived by his sister, Llara; his brothers, Rob (Ginger) and Jason (April); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A special acknowledgment is extended to Tim Wells, who was far more than a friend—he was an extra brother to Dave through life's many ups and downs. Your friendship meant the world to him.

David's absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons learned, and the love he leaves behind.

As we say goodbye, we find comfort in imagining David reunited with his faithful dog, Spirit, walking endless tracks together, free and at peace. May he continue to watch over all of us from above, keeping an eye on those he loved most.

A celebration of life will take place on July 18, 2026 at Praise Fellowship Church from 12-3 PM. Located at 165 Park Avenue East.
