Obituary of Laura Ayres

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Laura Ayres on June 17, 2026, at the age of 68, surrounded by care and compassion at Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Born on September 30, 1957, Laura was the beloved daughter of the late Lois Ayres and John Ayres. She was a loving and devoted mother to Tanya and Andrew, a cherished sister to Tracey and Brian, and a proud grandmother whose grandchildren brought immense joy and happiness to her life.

Laura will be remembered for her kindness, strength, love of family, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth, laughter, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Chatham-Kent Hospice for their extraordinary care, compassion, and dedication. Their efforts brought comfort, dignity, and brightness to Laura’s final days and will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura’s memory may be made to Chatham-Kent Hospice.
