Mark's family and friends,
I am so sad to read this news of his passing.
Kim, we had a conversation recently and I had asked if Mark was still living with you. I was pleasantly surprised that he continued to be your roommate after many years. Be proud of your caring nature especially with Mark.
Mark inded was a fun and oh-so-smart when it came to his favorite conversation of the day. Records and baseball stadiums seemed high on his list.
Again, I am so sorry for your precious loss. Treasure the memories, they will carry you through.

Sending my sincere condolences to the Scruton family. I know that he was so loved from his family. Growing up in Thamesville, my sister Trish and I spent many afternoons at the Thamesville swimming pool with Mark. A bit later in life, I had the honour of spending much more time with Mark with his involvement with Community Living. He was always so sweet and caring and he had such an interest in many things. Mark was loved by all. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

Mark walked by my parents' house on Delaware Ave. every single day for years. I think I was in high school when I met him. He had the most beautiful smile and gorgeous curly black hair and was the friendliest guy who greeted you with a huge hello and always a wave. He had an incredible memory! We talked about many things going on in our lives over the years and he remembered them all. I saw him years later after he had moved from the neighbourhood and I was married by then and he asked me if I was still cutting hair. He was such a gentle soul, so sweet and kind and I have thought about him often over the years. I was a little sad to read he passed but I know for sure he is up in heaven with the angels.
To Mark's family: May you find comfort in knowing that Mark touched many people's hearts over the years especially mine. I don't think I will ever forget him.
Sending prayers to all of you!

My thoughts go out to your family at this difficult time. Mark had such a diverse interest in things and his enthusiasm was infectious. Who couldn’t love him. He was such a kind person. He certainly made life a brighter place and will be missed by many. Very sorry I hadn’t seen him in recent years. Just a reminder that life is a short journey. I am very sorry for your loss.

I met Mark when I was 14(?) and he would have been 17. My parents were cooks at a weekend camp at the St. Vincent de Paul camp. Mark, Barry, Todd and I went hunting bull frogs. It was one of the most memorable weekends for me and I always remembered Mark with his beautiful shock of black curly hair.
Praying for your family and all who love and miss you, Mark.
Eternal rest grant unto Mark, oh Lord and may Perpetual Light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in Peace.
Until we meet again, Mark.
Patty
