Obituary of Sarah Horton

Suddenly, on July 17, 2026, Sarah Mae Horton (Clendenning) passed away at the age of 48. Born in Sarnia on September 26, 1977, she was the daughter of Donna and the late Paul Clendenning. ​Sarah’s heart lived in her family.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted children, Kyla and Tyler; her stepchildren, Hope and Tony; and grandchildren, Marlee, Leo, and Tayvn. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers, John and Randy; her sister-in-law, Tracy; and her nieces and nephews, Julie, Ashley, Hayden, Jackson, Nathan, and Nicholas. ​

For 13 dedicated years, Sarah brought a strong work ethic and care to her role as a lead technician for TG Minto. Away from work, Sarah was happiest surrounded by the people she loved; whether enjoying a camping trip, sharing drinks and laughter with friends and family, snacking on her favorite Hi-Chews or other candy, she loved her farm animals, especially cows and pigs. Above all else, her children were her entire world. Her bright spirit and warmth left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in our hearts. ​Service Details:

Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home (156 William St. S. Chatham) on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow immediately in the Chapel at 12:00 PM.

​Following the chapel service, family and friends are warmly invited to a celebration of Sarah's life at the Kent-Belgian-Dutch-Canadian Club (KBD Hall), located at 34 Byng Ave, Chatham, from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Guests are welcome to bring a potluck dish of their choice to share. Refreshments will be available via cash bar (ATM on site).
