Obituary of Zygfryd Zajac

Zygfryd “Ziggy” Zajac, age 62, of Chatham, Ontario passed away peacefully at Victoria hospital in London, Ontario on August 12, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Poland in 1963, son of the late Christine (Roesch) and Walter Zajac.

Beloved husband of Irena (Bugala) Zajac.  Loving father of Matt (Julie) and Blaze (Alison). Loving dziadek to Lillian, Ella, Lucy and Dominic. Dear brother of Barbara Placzek (Hubert) and Renata Paruzel and brother-in-law of Leon Sawina and Cila Zajac. He is predeceased by his brother Peter Zajac, sister Malgorzata Sawina, and brother-in-law Ginter Paruzel.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday August 14, 2026.   

A funeral mass will be conducted in Our Lady Of Victory Church, on Saturday August 15, 2026  at 11 AM. 

Burial will take place in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Following the funeral, there will be a luncheon at Links of Kent golf club, which is located at 120 Indian Creek Rd. W., Chatham, Ontario at 1 PM.
