Obituary of William Ciaciek

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Surrounded by angels, on July 28, 2015, William Francis Ciaciek slipped into eternal peace and the grace of God’s love. As Willy would say at the end of any trip he took… “Home Again!” Born May 14 1958, Willy is survived by his sister (and biggest fan of the “Willy smile”) Alicia Ciaciek and his loving nephew Ryan Ciaciek. He is predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Anna Maria Ciaciek. He is remembered by the many friends he touched in his journey among us with special thanks to Tom and Eileen Moorby, Phyllis Mitchell, Jerry and Darlene Fiddler for their overwhelming generosity of time and commitment to his needs. Tom (Tommy as Willy would say), your love and attention to him enabled Willy to do things he never imagined. He was never disabled in your company. You brought him much joy. Also our thanks to Jim and Gerda for the many rides over the past years to and from all the doctors’ and clinic appointments. We owe a very special thank you and debt of gratitude to the Chatham Kent Family Health team, to Dr. Allison Morand and Nurse Mary and the office staff for the excellent ongoing care he received, and to the Emergency doctors and Palliative care nurses at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance hospital for their care and vigilance to Willy’s care while he was there this past week. Willy would also want to say “thank you” to the wonderful staff at both the Smitty’s Restaurant and the Tasty Lunch Restaurant in Chatham. Willy just so loved the camaraderie of eating out. So thank you for making that a special experience for him. Thank you for enabling him to feel so important…the little rock star of dining out in Chatham! But Willy’s greatest joy was always going to church. A Funeral Mass for Willy will be held in St.Agnes Church, 52 Croydon St, Chatham Ontario on Friday August 14th at 11am. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery will take place Friday afternoon August 14th at 3 pm at the gravesite. Arrangements were made by Hinnegan- Peseski Funeral Home in Chatham. Condolences at www.peseski.com There will be a “celebration of Willy’s life and smile” and reception in the banquet hall at Smitty’s Restaurant in Chatham also on Friday August 14th directly following the mass. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Chatham Kent Public Library, CNIB, the CKHA Family Health Team (ckfht.ca) or a charity of your choice that helps those with disabilities would be appreciated.
