Obituary of Mary Doris Pook

POOK, SISTER MARY DORIS (Doris Elizabeth) entered Eternal Life on November 11, 2016 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in London, Ontario in 1919, daughter of the late John Philip and Veronica (Pace) Pook. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1940. During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a music teacher in St. Ursula’s, Windsor, Wallaceburg, St. Angela’s, London, Parkhill, Woodslee, Regina and Glengarda, Windsor. While living at Brescia University College in London Sister was the organist and worked with Senior Citizens. Sister Mary Doris moved to Villa Angela in 2007. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Fred, George and Philip and sister, Sister Juliana Pook, OSU. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sister Mary Doris may be made to “Chatham Ursuline Charities” or to the charity of your choice.
