Obituary of Martha Ann Kovar

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Monday August 7, 2017, Martha Ann Kovar, age 79, of Chatham-Kent, beloved wife of Aldrich “Al” Kovar.  Born in Chtelnica, Czechoslovakia in 1938, daughter of the late Justina (Basnak) and John Sojak.  

Martha farmed with her husband Al, was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and St. Joseph’s Church. She also loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Loving mother of Valerie Wolfe, Randy (Jane), Terry (Randy) Billard and Robert (Tracy). Cherished by her grandchildren Christopher (Nina) Campbell, Jesse, Kaleb, Keegan, Katey and Kyler Kovar and great granddaughter Yeva. Dear sister of Mary Dinga, Bessie Kominek, Milan Sojak, Frances (Stan) Kominek, and Jerry (Jean) Sojak.  Predeceased by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.   

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday August 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm, followed by the Catholic Women’s League.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday August 10, 2017 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
