Obituary of Mary Van De Wynckel

October 25, 1924 - September 22, 2017

Mary Van De Wynckel (nee Bogaert), a resident of Chatham, passed away with family by her side on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Mary was the daughter of the late Angelina and Alphonse Bogaert.

She is predeceased by her husband, Odlyn in 1992 and her daughter, Elaine (Ron Male) in 2006. She is survived by her sons, Ron ( Lynn Zaroda)  of Chatham and Jim (Lucy) of Oakville. Sadly missed by five grand children and twelve great grand children, and her sister, Georgette (late Rene G. Van De Wynckel.)

She is predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Aloysius. 

The family wishes to thank the nurses on 2nd floor I.C.U.  and nurses on 4th floor of CKHA.  

Also special thanks toDr. J. MacKinnon and Dr. Karatela and also Chatham Retirement Resort staff for the compassionate care given to Mary.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday September 28, 2017 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Church.

 Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham - Kent Health Alliance Medical Unit would be

appreciated.
