Obituary of Elisa Cattrysse

Peacefully, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Sunday, February 25, 2018, Elisa Johanna Hubertina Hendrika Cattrysse (nee Franssen) also known as “Elly” or “Zus”, age 85, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Gerard (1991).  Born in the Netherlands, daughter of the late Anna and Pieter Franssen.  

She is survived by her six children: Charles, Marietta Bechard, Viviane (George) Lozon, Alexander (Debbie), Jean-Pierre (Cindy) and Robert, her eleven grandchildren: Nicole, Jordon, Andrew, Natalie (Steven), Meagan, Amy (Bob), Joshua, Alan, Ryan, Johnathon, and Kyle, and her three great grandchildren Emily, Hayley and Zachary.   Also survived by her brothers, Harry (Anne), Jan (Annie), Tony (Willie), Bill (Mary Ann), sisters-in-law Anne, Wilma, Mathea all in Canada and Maria in Belgium.

Predeceased by her brothers, Pierre, Gerard, Joseph, and Albert and an infant sister Maria “Marietje” (1945), and sisters-in-law Henny and Georgette.  Survived by good friends Rick Bechard and Jet Halferkamps.  Elly is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins in Canada, Netherlands, and Belgium. 

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 7 – 9 pm.  A chapel service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11 am in the funeral home.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
