Obituary of Maria Valente DaCosta

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, Chatham, on May 19, 2018, Maria Valente DaCosta, age 94, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Joaquim DaCosta (1988). 

Born in Portugal in, 1923, daughter of the late Anguelina  and Custodio DaCosta.  

Loving mother of Anibal (Janice) DaCosta, Judite Wood, David (Elvira) DaCosta and Antonio (Maria) DaCosta. Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchilden and 5 great great grandchildren.  Predeceased by a daughter Maria Chibante and by one sister and 2 brothers.   

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday May 23, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 24, 2018 at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
