Obituary of Rose Veronika O'Mara

Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday June 11, 2018.

Rose Veronika (Varga) O’Mara beloved wife of Michael O’Mara. Born June 30, 1945 to Mary (Druhalocki) and John Varga.

Rose loved her flowers and her garden. She was a cat rescuer, teacher and coach. Also sadly missed by her sister Margaret Lemak, brothers and sisters-in-law; Sr. Kathleen O’Mara and Maureen (Robin) McKay, Dennis (Diana) O’Mara and Jerry (Sherry) O’Mara, a special niece Sue (Jeff) Williams and their daughter April, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters; Helen Peter and Elizabeth Opre.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations to PAWR, Pet and Wildlife Rescue, Chatham Kent Library or Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
