Obituary of Luigi Antonio Magliaro
Peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, Luigi Antonio Magliaro, age 83, beloved husband of 60 years to Maria (Matteis) Magliaro.
Born in Castelvetere sul Calore, Italy in 1935, son of the late Domenica (Matteis) and Pasquale Magliaro.
Loving father of Minnie (Dan), and Pat (Sue) Magliaro. Adored Nonno of Andrea (Joe), Erin (Kevin), Chris, (Stephanie), Luca, and Noah. Dear brother of Luciano (Grace) Magliaro. He will be greatly missed by all his brother and sister- in laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Nonno was a loving, trusting, gentle, and non-judgmental soul who taught us to respect and cherish each other, and to treasure each day to the fullest. Our hearts are broken but he will be with us forever.
The family would especially like to thank his “angels on earth”, the CKHA Dialysis Team, who always went above and beyond, the 4th Floor Medical Staff, and the Palliative Team. Special thanks to Sonny.
Family and friends may visit at the Hinnegan–Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 from 2pm-4pm, and 7pm-9pm. Vigil prayers will be offered at 3pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at 10am, in St. Ursula’s Church.
Entombment will be at Maple Leaf Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CKHA Dialysis Unit, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
