Obituary of Lisa Rebecca Baker
Lisa Rebecca Baker, of Chatham passed away at the age of 48 years at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Friday May 3, 2019. Born in Galt, Ontario in 1970, Lisa was the cherished youngest daughter of the late Anna (Ohanian) (2010) and the late Derek Baker (2002).
She was the beloved sister of Karen (Don) Robinet, Roseanne Baker and Tracy (Shayne) Root. She will also be fondly remembered by stepmother Evelyn Shreve, step-sisters Rachel (Mark) McAuley, Anna Davis and the late Leah Davis-Shreve (2007).
She will be sadly missed by nephews Lucas, Cade, Brandon (Regina) and Tristan (Justine), great-nieces Aaliyah and Skye and great-nephew Kamron and cousin Marina Cannell.
Since moving to Chatham in her childhood, Lisa was actively involved with Community Living Chatham-Kent (CLCK) and in her final years, as Alzheimer’s robbed her of so much, she was treated with love, dignity and respect by her staff at ‘Lacroix’ and prior to that at ‘Carolinian.’ Her family are grateful beyond words for the many friends and staff who have been part of her CLCK family over the years, as well as her friends at Friendship Bible Hour at Grace CRC. Lisa also enjoyed the arts, bowling, meals out, the music of ABBA and was an avid word searcher.
Friends and family may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
The funeral service will be conducted at Grace Christian Reformed Church (255 Tweedsmuir Ave. W., Chatham) on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11 am.
Cremation will follow.
Donations to Community Living would be appreciated.
