Pat and I were just talking about Marty and what we remembered about the last time we saw him. Pat was struck with how bright he was and how intently he listened to her. She knew that he was really listening and thinking about the conversation; not just waiting for his chance to speak. What I remember most poignantly was the joyful wedding and the love and affection that Patti and Marty expressed for each other. It was a privilege to have met Marty and a comfort to know that he was part of my dear friend's life. We are holding his memory closely and sending love and support to Patti and family.
