Obituary of Betty Marentette

Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, on Sunday October 22, 2023, Betty Evelyn Marentette, age 94, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Louis Marentette (1991).  Born in Windsor on February 20, 1929, daughter of the late Eva (Drouillard) (1990) and Hector Tremblay (1955).  

Loving mother of Noël Marentette (Donna Campbell), Betty Lou (Larry) Clark and John (Susan) Marentette.  Dearest Mimi of grandchildren Christine (Rob) Parsons, Kimberly (Dave) Rumball, Shaun (Dakota) Marentette, Lindsay Marentette, Trisha Maretette and great grandchildren Trravis and Lily Rumball, Helen and Maggie Parsons, Dylan, Zayden and Audrina Marentette.  She is survived by her sisters-in-law Rita Prieur, Winnie Marentette (Bev), Heather Tremblay and brother-in-law Larry Dozois.  She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and many cousins in Windsor. 

Predeceased by sisters Madeline Dozois, Thelma Pinsonneault and brothers Tom and Fred Tremblay. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday October 24, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, where CWL Prayers will be offered at 6:30 PM.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 10 AM in St. Ursula’s Church.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
