Peacefully at his residence in Kent Bridge, on Thursday November 16, 2023, Fredrick John Newfield, age 75, of Kent Bridge, beloved spouse of Chris Filby. Born in London in 1948, son of the late Rita (Kelly) and Arthur Newfield.  

 

Dear brother of Sheila (Bob) Foster, sadly missed by grandchildren Devon (Cara) Newfield, Shayne (Sierra) Newfield and great granddaughter Everleigh Newfield. Cherished uncle of Elliot (JoeAnne) Foster, Vonne Foster, Kelsey (Kyle) Whitney and great uncle of Autumn Whitney. Brother-in-law of Randy Filby and Randy (Linda) Bailey.

 

Predeceased by a brother Gary Thomas (1966), a son Christopher Newfield (2011) and a sister-in-law Charlene Meredith (2014).

 

"Fred was so proud that he got his licence to ride his bike later in yrs. It brought him such joy and peace to go ride...  Forever Ride Freddy. Mission accomplished !! " 

As were Fred’s wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120).  

Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent would be appreciated.
