Peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Thursday January 22, 2015, Teresa De Jesus Almeida Soares, age 80, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Manuel Soares (1978). Born in Urros, Portugal in 1934, daughter of the late Maria Paradelo and Antonio Almeida.
Loving mother of Lurdes (John) Branco of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of Jorge and Michael. Dear sister of Celeste (Antonio) Pisquem of Chatham and Jose (Sao) Almeida of Chatham. Predeceased by a sister Palmira Neto.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday January 25, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes’ Church.
Entombment will be in Maple Leaf Mausoleum. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
