At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Monday January 3, 2022, Bertie Jane Bechard, age 88, of Chatham, beloved wife of Donald Bechard. 

Born in Aylmer Ontario in 1933, daughter of the late Clarice (Wylie) and Albert Hawley. 

Loving mother of Don Bechard, William “Jim” (Cheryl) Bechard, David Bechard and Susan (Tom) Stange. Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Roberta (Roger) Allard and Nelson Hawley.

Predeceased by a son Michael Bechard and by brothers Don, Tom and a sister June. 

Resting at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120 ) where there will be a private family visitation and service. 

Cremation will follow, and a public celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
