Obituary of Virginia McKinlay

Peacefully at The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth, ON on Friday February 11, 2022, Virginia Dianne McKinlay, age 74, of Campbellford, ON.  Beloved wife of 48 years to Michael McKinlay.  Born in Chatham on November 6, 1947, daughter of the late Pauline (Ebert) and Garfield Leight.  Moved to Burlington upon her marriage to Michael in 1973.  Resident of Campbellford since 2016. 

Loving mother of Kristine McKinlay and Geoffrey McKinlay and his companion Erin Lambert.  Dearest grandmother of Gabriella Audrey and Oliver Samuel Benson, Madelyn Grace and Isla Rose McKinlay.  She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her sister Ruth Innes, infant sister Myrtle, brothers Ronald, Garfield (Junior) and Jim Leight.  

She loved Christmas, baking, gardening, travelling and had a keen eye for interior design.  She was the anchor of the family. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 7-9 PM on Tuesday February 15, 2022.  

Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 11 AM.
