Andy emigrated to Canada with his parents in 1926. He farmed all his life; Andy and Mary worked very hard together and built a good life. Retiring and spending the winter at their home in Florida for many years. He loved nothing better than to be tinkering with a piece of farm machinery, an old clock or motor, and spending his day outside working. Or if he ran into another old farmer, and could pass the time discussing crop prices; bushels per acre, etc. he was in his glory.
This was his life. Nothing gave him greater pride than to be doing something useful. Always wanting to help anyway he could, he was very loved by all his family, and friends; everyone was always happy to see "Uncle Andy" as he usually had a smile on his face. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives and he will be missed immensely.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Meadow Park Nursing Home for their very kind, considerate, and thoughtful manner in which they have assisted Andy and Mary in the final chapters of their lives. It truly is a “family home".
