Obituary of Maria DaCosta

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Thursday April 14, 2022, Maria Silva DaCosta, age 95, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Domingos DaCosta (1963). 

Born in Portugal in 1926, daughter of the late Constanca (Jesus) and Joao Silva.  

Loving mother of  John (Marsha) DaCosta, Dalila (Joe) Gaspar, Manuel (Barb) DaCosta, Ana DaCosta (Jim Benn) and Mario (Kelly) DaCosta. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Dear sister of Anna Marrachio and José and Antonio DaSilva all of Portugal.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at 10 am in St. Ursula’s Church.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
