Obituary of Aglaia Vlahos
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Wednesday June 29, 2022, Aglaia Vlahos, age 85, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Konstantine Vlahos (2005). Born in Nafpaktos, Greece in 1936, daughter of the late Maria (Kouveli) and Spiros Mastrokostas.
Loving mother of Jim (Thomay), Spiro (Kelly) and Thomas (Diane) Vlahos. Predeceased by her brothers Gionnis, Nicolas and Gus. Cherished Yiayia to Demitra (Brad), Victoria (David), Thomas, Rena, Demetre, Andrew, soon to be born Kansas-Rose and Abigail. Great grandmother to Alexander, Matthew and Adrianna.
At the young age of 24, Aglaia (Litsa) boarded the Queen Mary to Canada to make a better life for herself. Litsa worked tirelessly for her three boys whom she raised with great pride, but always lived life to the fullest. Litsa had a special soul whose love and compassion touched the lives of many people.
As were the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) was charge of arrangements.
