Obituary of Joseph Leo Sevigny

Peacefully at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, on Saturday August 13, 2022, Joseph Leo Sevigny, age 91, of Chatham, beloved husband of Mary (DeVogelaere) Sevigny.  Born in Winnipeg, MB in 1931, son of the late Maud (McKeough) and Joseph Sevigny. 

Loving father of the late Karen (Martin) McCracken, Mark Sevigny (Diane), late Dennis Sevigny and step father of Erie Ann (Richard) Lernout, Richard (Lorraine) De Vogelaere, David (Theresa) De Vogelaere and Larry (Caroline) De Vogelaere, Linda (Douglas) Shaw.  Dearest grandfather of 6 grandchildren,and many great grandchildren, and many step grandchildren. 

Predeceased by one grandchild and many siblings. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Tuesday August 16, 2022 from 2-5 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 17, 2022 at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. 

Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Donations to ALS Society would be appreciated. 

A special thank you to the Copper Terrace staff for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.   They were wonderful.
