Obituary of Joseph Peter Jeffrey

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Wednesday August 17, 2022, Joseph Peter Jeffrey, age 88, of Chatham, beloved husband of Janis (Booth) Jeffrey. 

Born in  Halifax in 1934, son of the late Elizabeth (Arseneault) and Joseph Jeffrey Sr.  Joe was a paratrooper in the armed forces and worked at Eaton Yale until his retirement.

Loving father of Melodie (Bruce) Cook and Howard Green (Pat). Cherished grandfather of Nicolas Smith (Laura) and Caitlin (Mario) Martinasevic.  Great grandfather of Nolan and Rae.

Joe grew up in Nova Scotia and came from a family of 8 other brothers and sisters.  Joe was well known by all for his guitar playing and singing for family and friends. 

As were the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. 

A private celebration of life will be held in September.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
