Obituary of Ivan Swatyk

Peacefully, at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, Chatham, on Friday, December 18, 2015, Ivan Swatyk, age 90, of Chatham, beloved husband of Paulina (Hawrylczak). Born in the Ukraine, son of the late Mary and Gregory Swatyk.
He is survived by his daughters Stephanie (Tony) Callipari of London and Oksana (Joe) Lacina of Chatham, his son Steve (Penny) Swatyk of Burlington, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by all his sisters in the Ukraine.
Ivan was retired from 35 years at Libby’s, and was an established carpenter and machinist.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 7 – 9 pm. Panakhyda will be held at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 am with Fr. Eugene Halitsky as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
