Obituary of Irene Maillet

Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Tuesday September 27, 2022, Irene Mary Maillet, age 99, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Alfred Maillet (2004).  Born in New Brunswick in 1923, daughter of the late Annie and Herb Kelly.  

Loving mother of Gerald (Sandy) Maillet, Rick Maillet, Frances Maillet-Brooks and Roy (Kat) Maillet. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Leonard (Odette) McLean.

Predeceased by her children Larry, Robert and John Maillet and by sisters, Frances McLean, Juanita Jarvaise and Vivian McLaughlin and by brothers Don, Lloyd, John and David McLean.

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday September 30, 2022 from 7-9 pm.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church.  

Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
