Obituary of John Balun

With shattered hearts, the family of JOHN JOSEPH BALUN share the news of his passing on Thursday December 1, 2022 after a long, courageous battle in his 87^th year surrounding by his loving family at home.

Loyal and loving husband of Doreen for 64 beautiful years. Proud and always guiding father of John Dave Balun (Elly) of Kingsville, Michelle Lynn (Christopher) Ritchie of Chatham. 

Adored and very special ‘Bubba’ of Sgt. David Balun (combat medic of Edmonton, Alberta, and Borden, ON), Dr. Jennifer Balun of Madison, Wisconsin, and Michael Ritchie (Alexandra) of London, ON. 

They were his pride and joy. Most special cousin of his best friend Gerald Gazarek (Linda Young) of Ajax, ON.

John is pre-deceased by his infant son Michael Edward (1965), his sister and brother in-law Doris and Al Jordan.

Loving and only son of Peter Balun (1998) and Mary Balun (Hribnak) (1994) and loving son-in-law of Eddie and Roxie Watson.

John was extremely proud of his Czech Heritage which he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

As per his wishes cremation has taken place.

A private family celebration of life will follow at a later date.
